About us

Presidents Welcome 2023/24

Welcome to the website for the Rotary Club of Perth. I was very much honoured to take up the presidency from 1 July. Our Perth club is vibrant and thriving with over seventy members attending our main Thursday lunchtime meeting at McDiarmid Park and our monthly Breakfast Meeting at the Premier Inn, Perth.

Founded in 1917, our club has been supporting the local community and international projects continuously for 106 years. Service for others is at the heart of what we do and as such we fund raise to allow us to carry out projects at home and abroad and to support worthy causes locally and nationally. In the past twelve months we have disbursed almost £100,000 to projects and charities. These funds have been raised primarily through our three major events, The Perthshire Classic Car Tour, Perth Silent Auction and the Rotary Club of Perth Golf Day. These are just a few on the many projects we are involved in annually and are open to existing and new members to participate and enjoy.

Our theme for the year ahead is Engagement and Growth. Although we are a healthy club we can never take this for granted. As such, we are ensuring a wide and varied range of community and vocational projects combined with our usual fun programme of social and sporting activities. We want to retain existing members and welcome new ones. I am therefore delighted that eleven former members of Perth St Johns have chosen to continue their rotary membership with us, and we are already benefiting from their energy and engagement.

If you are looking to be more involved in serving your local community and in supporting international projects such as Ukraine, then please get in touch. We are a friendly and welcoming group always looking for fresh ideas.
